A heated exchange erupted during the vetting of ministerial appointees when Victoria Emeafa Hardcastle, the Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Petroleum Commission, clashed with Nsawam Adoagyiri Member of Parliament (MP), Frank Annoh-Dompreh.
The disagreement stemmed from the use of the phrase “micro-minority,” which sparked tension between the two.
In a viral video capturing the altercation, Emeafa Hardcastle confronted Annoh-Dompreh, challenging what she perceived as a threat.
“You are threatening me that you will take me on. My friend, don’t bring yourself. What do you mean by taking me on?” she demanded.
In response, Annoh-Dompreh pointed out the label that had caused the controversy. “You called us micro-minority,” he said.
Emeafa Hardcastle, however, stood by her words, stating, “But you are micro-minority. Doesn’t Afenyo even use that phrase? Don’t bring yourself.”
The exchange took another turn when Annoh-Dompreh hinted at further action. “We will deal with that,” he said firmly.
Matters escalated when Emeafa Hardcastle allegedly referred to the MP as “silly,” prompting him to call out the remark.
“You heard the word she used; she called me silly,” Annoh-Dompreh stated, drawing attention to the comment.
Emeafa Hardcastle fired back, questioning, “Are you a silly child?”

The confrontation continued until other dignitaries in attendance, including Presidential Adviser and Special Aide Joyce Bawah, intervened to calm the situation. Despite their efforts, Annoh-Dompreh eventually left the vetting session, visibly dissatisfied with the turn of events.
The altercation has since ignited a flurry of reactions on social media, particularly on the X platform, where users have taken sides in the argument.
