Vice President Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang has spoken for the first time since receiving urgent medical attention at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC).

In a special Eid Mubarak message to the Muslim community, she took a moment to acknowledge the immense support and well wishes from Ghanaians following concerns about her health.

“Likewise, I would like to say thank you to everyone for the kind sentiments and well wishes this weekend,” she stated.

Her brief but heartfelt message reassured the public that she values the prayers and encouragement she has received.

Prof. Opoku-Agyemang was taken to UGMC on Saturday, March 29, after falling ill the previous evening. A statement from the Presidency confirmed she received immediate medical care but did not disclose the specifics of her condition.
