Shortlisted candidates for Police Service to write exams on Oct 12

The Ghana Police Service has advanced to the next stage of its recruitment process, inviting shortlisted candidates to sit for an examination on Saturday, October 12, 2024.

In a recent statement, the Police Service urged candidates to stay alert for important details regarding the examination, which will be sent via email and SMS.

The exams will be conducted across all sixteen regional capitals, ensuring convenient access for all shortlisted applicants. The specific exam centres include:

  • Accra: University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA)
  • Ashanti Region: Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi
  • Upper East Region: Bolgatanga Technical University, Bolgatanga
  • Central Region: University of Cape Coast (UCC), Cape Coast
  • Savannah Region: Ndewura Jakpa Senior Technical School, Damongo
  • Oti Region: Dambai College of Education, Dambai
  • Ahafo Region: Goaso Nursing Training School, Goaso
  • Volta Region: University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS), Ho
  • Eastern Region: Koforidua Technical University, Koforidua
  • North East Region: College of Nursing and Midwifery, Nalerigu
  • Western North Region: Wiawso College of Education, Wiawso
  • Bono Region: University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR), Sunyani
  • Western Region: St. John’s Senior High School, Takoradi
  • Northern Region: University of Development Studies (UDS), Tamale
  • Bono East Region: Krobo Nursing Training School, Techiman
  • Upper West Region: Simon Diedong Dombo University of Business and Integrated Studies (SDD-UBIDS), Wa

The Police Service extended its best wishes to all candidates as they prepare for the exams. They also reiterated that the recruitment process is free of charge, urging candidates to report any attempts of extortion or monetary requests.

Earlier in August 2024, the Ghana Police Service opened recruitment for individuals who had applied in 2021. The announcement generated substantial interest, with applicants vying for positions in categories such as General Duty Recruits and Graduate General Duties.

To apply, candidates had to meet specific criteria, including Ghanaian citizenship, good character, and a clean criminal record. Additionally, requirements such as age limits, educational qualifications, and physical fitness standards were enforced. The deadline for submissions was Tuesday, August 13, 2024.
