Salvation Army to host West Africa Women’s Congress in Ghana from April 24-27

The Salvation Army is set to organize the West Africa Women’s Congress, a significant gathering aimed at empowering and uplifting women across the region.

The event, themed “Woman, Do Not Cry” (Luke 7:13), will take place from April 24 to April 27, 2025, at O.T.C Tema C.12 in Ghana Territory.

This congress will bring together women from different parts of West Africa for a time of inspiration, learning, and spiritual renewal. It aims to address key issues affecting women in contemporary society while encouraging faith-based solutions and personal growth.

The event will feature distinguished guest speakers who hold influential positions in women’s ministries within The Salvation Army.

These include:

  • Commissioner Bronwyn Buckingham – World President of Women’s Ministries

  • Commissioner Shelley Hill – World Secretary for Women’s Ministries

  • Commissioner Yvonne Conrad – Zonal Secretary for Women’s Ministries

  • Colonel Janet Appeateng – Territorial President of Women’s Ministries (Ghana)
  • Lt. Col. Ziporrah Mbuthu – Territorial Secretary for Women’s Ministries (Ghana)
