Nigerian singer and content creator, Oluwadolarz, has attributed the lack of promotion for his music to inappropriate demands from a gay music executive.
The comedian-turned-singer revealed that he was asked for sexual favours in exchange for help in promoting his songs, but he refused to comply.
In a post shared via his Instagram account on Sunday, Oluwadolarz explained, “You will promote my songs. Endorse my music. Help me top chart. But make I first bend over make you enter my y*nsh. E.n.k.r sir.”
Oluwadolarz expressed frustration at the lack of support from some of his colleagues, hinting that these unethical requests might be part of the reason why his music hasn’t gained the traction it deserves.
Many are curious to know the identity of the music executive in question.
In Nigeria, same-sex sexual activity is criminalized, and the Same-Sex Marriage (Prohibition) Act, signed into law in 2014 by former President Goodluck Jonathan, makes it illegal to engage in or support same-sex relationships.
The law also targets gender expression by transgender individuals.
