Nigerian legislator Hon. Alexander Ikwegh, who represents the Aba North and South Federal Constituency in Abia State, is facing serious allegations after reportedly assaulting a Bolt driver, Mr. Stephen Abuwatseya, during a delivery dispute in Abuja.
The incident, which took place on October 27, 2024, at a residence on Zamfara Crescent in Maitama, escalated when an argument arose over the delivery method. Hon. Ikwegh allegedly slapped Mr. Abuwatseya and, in response to the driver’s protest, reportedly said, “Go ahead and call the Inspector General of Police,” reflecting what the FCT Police Command described as a disregard for police authority.
