Level 300 KNUST student run over by ‘trotro’

A tragic incident has claimed the life of Afia Dedaa Osae-Atuah, a third-year Geography student at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).

She was run over by a speeding commercial vehicle, a “Trotro,” which veered off the road while she was on her way to Kumasi to repair her laptop.

The KNUST community is in shock, mourning the loss of the young student. Social media users have expressed their sadness and condolences, with one user writing, “Going out and coming back safe is such an underrated blessing. May her humble soul rest in peace.”

The circumstances surrounding the accident are currently under investigation, as authorities work to understand how the tragedy occurred. It is unknown the number of casualties so far.
