House at Kwadaso catches fire

A fire broke out early this morning around 8 a.m. at a residential building in Nyankyerenease, Kwadaso, in the Ashanti Region, leaving the home completely destroyed and its occupants displaced.

Witnesses reported that unable to reach fire service personnel in time, residents tried to contain the flames using sachet water.

It was an unsuccessful effort and the house was ultimately consumed by the blaze.
