Everyone at Madrid is feeling down – Ancelotti reveals

Carlo Ancelotti has revealed that “everyone at Madrid is feeling down,” including Kylian Mbappe, but the Real Madrid manager remains confident that his players will overcome their current difficulties.

Mbappe, who made a high-profile move to Real Madrid from Paris Saint-Germain in July, has struggled to find his best form at the Bernabeu. Although the 25-year-old has scored eight goals in 15 appearances, he has only managed to score once in his last five games.

Ancelotti’s side, which won both the Champions League and La Liga titles last season, is currently enduring a tough period. After a 4-0 loss to rivals Barcelona last month, they now trail the Catalans by nine points in the league.

“Mbappe is down like everyone else, but motivated to get through this moment,” Ancelotti said during a news conference. “The problem he’s having is everyone’s problem. You could point at Vinicius [Junior], Rodrygo, or [Jude] Bellingham. It is a difficult moment for everyone.”

Despite the team’s struggles, Ancelotti emphasized that Mbappe has been “training well” and is “convinced” his form will improve as long as he stays positive. “We haven’t hit our stride yet. You can’t let your head drop, you have to hold it high,” Ancelotti added.

Regarding Mbappe’s omission from France’s upcoming Nations League fixtures by national team coach Didier Deschamps, Ancelotti clarified that he had not spoken to the player about the decision. “It’s a matter for the national team coach and I have no right to judge his decisions. He made the decision and we have to accept it,” Ancelotti explained.
