Accra to host Africa Energy Technology Conference 2025 from May 27-29

Ghana’s capital, Accra, has been selected to host the Africa Energy Technology Conference (AETC) 2025, scheduled for May 27 to 29 at the Labadi Beach Hotel.

The conference will serve as a premier platform for industry leaders, policymakers, and investors to engage in high-level discussions on advancing Africa’s energy sector through technology, investment, and policy innovation.

Ghana’s Minister of Energy and Green Transition, Dr. John Abdulai Jinapor, has urged key stakeholders from across the energy, oil, and gas industries to take part in the event.

“Technology continues to play a key role in the socio-economic development of all society, particularly in the energy sector. We believe that in this current dispensation, technology will be at the forefront and the key driver towards ensuring inclusive growth and also accelerated economic development.

The presence of Ghana’s President, H.E. John Dramani Mahama, and Vice President, H.E. Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, as special guests will add significant weight to the conference. Their participation is expected to provide key insights into government policies, investment opportunities, and strategies for sustainable energy sector growth across Africa.

Themed “Innovate, Invest, Implement: Revolutionised Financing for Sustainable Energy Sector Growth in Africa,” AETC 2025 will explore cutting-edge technological advancements, financial mechanisms for energy development, and strategies for executing large-scale sustainable projects.
