The Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) has revealed plans for the ‘Homowo clean-up exercise’ scheduled to take place on Tuesday, July 2, 2024.
The exercise will cover Sempe, Gbese, Abloa, Asere, and the Dogo Beach in Ga Mashie, running from 6:00 am to 12:00 noon.
To ensure a thorough and efficient clean-up, the AMA has mandated that all shops and businesses in the designated areas remain closed during the exercise, with the exception of pharmaceutical and health facilities.
This measure aims to prioritize safety and encourage the full participation of the community.
In a press release issued by the AMA’s Head of Public Affairs, it was detailed that the clean-up activities have been organized into six zones to cover the entire region. Zone 1 includes areas within the AMA’s jurisdiction and three neighboring Assemblies.
