Tragedy struck the Awutu Papaase community in the Awutu Senya West District of the Central Region when the District Pastor of the Church of Pentecost, Samuel Koblah Narh, was brutally attacked by armed robbers.
The incident, which occurred as Pastor Narh returned home from an evening service, has left the pastor critically injured and his belongings stolen.
Pastor Narh was ambushed by the assailants at his residence in Awutu Papaase. Reports indicate that as he arrived home, the robbers forced their way in, shooting him in the shoulder as he tried to communicate with them.
The attackers then forcibly removed him from his Toyota RAV4, registered GW 545-22, and made off with the vehicle and his mobile phones.
In the aftermath of the attack, Pastor Narh was initially rushed to the Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital for immediate medical attention.
Due to the severity of his injuries, he has since been transferred to the Church of Pentecost Hospital in Madina, where he continues to receive critical care.
Elder Godfred Viglo, a church elder, addressed the media, expressing the community’s distress and appealing for public assistance.
He urged Ghanaians and the Ghana Police Service to intensify efforts to apprehend the culprits and recover the stolen vehicle.
“We call on everyone to assist in bringing these perpetrators to justice and ensuring Pastor Koblah’s safety,” he pleaded.
