Richard Jakpa, a key figure in the ongoing ambulance case, has accused his cousin, Supreme Court Justice Yonny Kulendi, of ambushing him.
Jakpa, who secretly recorded Attorney General Godfred Yeboah Dame, disclosed that he initiated the interactions with the Attorney General.
Jakpa stated that all his meetings with the Attorney General took place at Justice Kulendi’s residence. During cross-examination, Jakpa revealed that on one occasion, he spoke to Godfred Dame using Justice Kulendi’s phone.
The Supreme Court judge had called Jakpa and then handed him the phone to speak with the Attorney General.
As the third accused in the ambulance case, Jakpa further disclosed that his meetings with the Attorney General were arranged by Justice Kulendi. He testified in court that during his last visit to Kulendi’s home, he felt ambushed when he found Godfred Dame already present.
This revelation adds a new layer of complexity to the case, highlighting the intricate connections and potential conflicts of interest within the high-profile investigation.
