President Bola Tinubu suffered a fall while climbing into a parade vehicle at Eagles Square during the commemoration of June 12 Democracy Day.
The incident, which occurred on Wednesday, saw Mr. Tinubu falling face down despite the efforts of the guards around him to prevent the fall.
The cause of the fall remains unclear, as it is not clear from the video whether he was caught in the web of his flowing agbada, causing a misstep, or if he was battling an unsteady gait possibly due to ill health.
It is worth noting that Mr. Tinubu had previously spent three months in a London hospital, where his media office stated that he underwent a knee surgery and took significant time to rehabilitate.
The incident has sparked concerns about Mr. Tinubu’s health, especially given his prominent role in Nigerian politics. However, no official statement has been released regarding his condition following the fall.
