Former GFA president and candidate of the Ejisu NPP primaries, Kwasi Nyantakyi, has arrived at the voting center after being discharged from Asokore Mampong Hospital, where he received treatment since Friday night.
A source from his camp has attributed his condition to stress after Ramadan.
Upon arrival, Nyantakyi appeared weak and was assisted by a member of his team to walk.
Prior to this, Nyantakyi’s team stated that despite falling ill shortly before the Ejisu NPP parliamentary primary, he intended to be at the polling station before voting concluded.
As polling began, Nyantakyi was still in the hospital under observation.
Members of the election committee also visited Nyantakyi in the hospital where he was admitted.
Nine aspirants are competing to be elected as parliamentary candidates of the NPP for the upcoming by-election in Ejisu, following the death of the MP, John Kumah, in March after a brief illness.
