In a recent interview, Asamoah, a male trader living in Ivory Coast, shared his perspectives on the economic governance and living conditions in Ivory Coast compared to Ghana.
Asamoah highlighted that Ivorians are generally better off economically than Ghanaians.
Having lived in Ivory Coast for approximately five years, Asamoah noted that despite the similarities in pricing between the two countries, with items costing about GH2.50 pesewas in Ghana and the equivalent in CFA francs in Ivory Coast, there have been no significant changes in prices over the years.
Some traders, including Asamoah, expressed their intentions to return to Ghana.
They cited several factors such as the favorable business climate and development opportunities in Ivory Coast compared to Ghana.
One trader mentioned that the development in infrastructure, particularly roads, in Ivory Coast far exceeds that of Ghana.
Ghanaian traders in Cote d’Ivoire have gained popularity as second-hand shoes dealers.
