In a remote village in Ghana, a young farmer had toiled tirelessly for two long years to cultivate a bountiful yam harvest.
With the market in mind, he meticulously stored his yams in a temporary barn, readying them for sale.
However, his dreams were shattered when he received a distressing call. Rushing to the barn, he found a devastating sight: Fulani herdsmen had brought their cattle to feed on his prized yams, leaving behind a trail of destruction.
Heartbroken and frustrated, the young man lamented his loss, capturing the scene in a poignant video. “It is painful that you will work hard for 2 years for a project and then some selfish person comes to destroy it,” he sorrowfully exclaimed.
The incident not only resulted in a significant financial setback for the young farmer but also underscored the ongoing challenges faced by farmers in rural communities.
