A tragic accident on the Kumasi-Accra highway resulted in the loss of 21 lives and multiple injuries on March 15th.
The collision involved a Sprinter bus and a mini-bus on the Breku stretch, claiming 14 lives instantly.
Eyewitnesses attributed the crash to overspeeding and reckless overtaking by one of the deceased drivers.
Seven more lives were lost at the Juaso and Konongo Government Hospitals, where the injured were taken for treatment. Additionally, another accident occurred as a driver failed to notice the wreckage, resulting in one more fatality.
The deceased have been taken to the Yawkwei Steward Mortuary and Konongo Government Hospital, while the survivors are receiving care at various medical facilities.
