Uncapped players Curtis Jones and Tino Livramento have been called up to the senior England squad for the upcoming Nations League matches this week.
Liverpool midfielder Jones, 23, previously received his first senior call-up in May as part of Gareth Southgate’s provisional 33-man squad for Euro 2024 but didn’t make the final selection. He was a key member of the England U21 team that won the 2023 European Under-21 Championship under current interim manager Lee Carsley.
Newcastle defender Livramento, who was included in Carsley’s squad for last month’s fixtures against the Republic of Ireland and Finland, did not feature in those games but remains in the mix for these upcoming ties.
Captain Harry Kane trained separately from the rest of the squad at St George’s Park on Wednesday, though he is expected to be fit for the matches. Meanwhile, Manchester City midfielder Jack Grealish missed training as a precaution due to a minor knock.
England will host Greece at Wembley on Thursday before traveling to Finland for their second fixture in Helsinki on Sunday.
