Cristiano Ronaldo has been handed a ban and fined for his response to taunts from fans during Al-Nassr’s match against Al-Shabab.
After Al-Nassr’s 3-2 win, Ronaldo was caught on camera making an obscene gesture towards his critics in the crowd.
Following an investigation, the Saudi Arabian Football Federation has announced that Ronaldo will serve a one-match ban and pay a fine of 30,000 Saudi Riyals (£6,300).
The fine includes 10,000 riyals to the SAFF and 20,000 riyals to Al-Shabab to cover their costs of filing a complaint. The decision is not subject to appeal, meaning Ronaldo will miss the upcoming match against Al-Hazm.

This is not the first time Ronaldo has faced criticism for his behavior during games. He was previously seen grabbing his genitals and rubbing a scarf on his crotch during a game with Al-Hilal on February 8. Despite these incidents, Ronaldo has been in impressive form, scoring 34 goals in 35 appearances this season, including a crucial penalty against Al-Shabab.
