A moderate to heavy rainstorm observed over the oceans is expected to move inland and affect most areas in Southern Ghana, according to the Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMet).
The rainstorm, accompanied by gusty winds, is likely to impact several areas including Keta, Aflao, Dzodze, Akatsi, Ho, Accra, Madina, Dodowa, and Pokuase.
It is forecasted to first affect the southeastern parts of Southern Ghana this afternoon before moving southwest later in the evening. Additionally, the rainstorm is expected to trigger rain and thunder over northern Ghana.
Residents in the affected areas are advised to take necessary precautions to ensure their safety during the inclement weather conditions.
This may include staying indoors, avoiding travel unless absolutely necessary, and securing loose outdoor items to prevent damage from gusty winds.
The GMet will provide updates as needed to provide further information on the progress and intensity of the rainstorm.
