Jordan Ayew stole the show with a thrilling hat-trick as Ghana triumphed over Central African Republic 4-3 in a pulsating encounter on Matchday 4 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The Black Stars’ victory propelled them to the top of Group I with 9 points, cementing their position as a force to be reckoned with in the qualifiers.
Ayew’s penalty in the 6th minute set the tone for a gripping contest, but Louis Mafouta’s brace in the 11th and 41st minutes left Ghana trailing 2-1 at halftime. However, the home team regrouped and dominated the second half, with Ayew’s powerful header in the 60th minute restoring parity.
