The Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMet) has issued alerts predicting the arrival of two rainstorms that are set to impact different regions of the country.
These weather systems, anticipated to bring thunderstorms and rainfall, pose potential risks to both the northern and southern sectors of Ghana.
According to the GMet, the first rainstorm, currently moderately producing thunderstorms with rain over northern Benin into Togo, is expected to drift further westwards, eventually affecting the northern half of Ghana.
Simultaneously, another rainstorm observed over Nigeria is also forecasted to propagate westwards, reaching the coastal and middle sectors of Ghana.
Both rainstorms are anticipated to be accompanied by moderate to strong winds, further adding to the potential hazards posed by these weather events.
The GMet advises residents in affected regions to take necessary precautions to mitigate the impact of these incoming rainstorms.
Measures such as securing loose objects, staying indoors during heavy rainfall, and avoiding travel unless absolutely necessary are recommended to ensure safety during adverse weather conditions.
