Jarrod Bowen and Michail Antonio were on target for West Ham United in a thrilling 2-2 draw against Liverpool at London Stadium.
Bowen, who returned to the starting lineup after recovering from injury, celebrated his 200th appearance for West Ham by opening the scoring just before halftime. He headed in Mohammed Kudus’ cross following a quick corner kick.
Liverpool had their chances in the first half, with Luis Díaz hitting the post, but it was West Ham who took the lead into the break.
However, Liverpool responded early in the second half when Andy Robertson found the back of the net to level the score.
Midway through the second half, Cody Gakpo’s shot took a deflection off Angelo Ogbonna, Tomáš Souček, and Alphonse Areola, giving Liverpool the lead for the first time in the match.
But West Ham fought back, and with 13 minutes left on the clock, Antonio rose highest to head in a cross from Bowen and secure a hard-fought point for his team.
