Telecel Ghana, a mobile network operator, has revealed its intention to reimburse customers for data bundles that expired unused during the recent internet outage crisis.
In an announcement made on Tuesday, March 19, Telecel assured subscribers that it has successfully regained 100% of its internet capacity, and all services have been fully reinstated.
The statement, disseminated across Telecel’s social media platforms, expressed gratitude for the patience and cooperation shown by customers during the period of internet service disruptions.
The commitment to refunds comes as a welcome relief to Telecel users who had purchased data bundles that remained unused during the recent days of intermittent outages caused by a cable fault affecting the region.
On Thursday, March 14, the SEACOM submarine cable, which connects Africa, Europe, and Asia, suffered a break, resulting in internet performance issues across numerous African countries dependent on the link for international connectivity.
