Otto Addo, the newly appointed head coach of the senior national team, Black Stars, has announced a 26-man provisional squad for the upcoming international friendlies during the upcoming international break.
Among the squad are five new players, including Asante Kotoko’s Frederick Asare.
The other new additions are Bolivia-based David Akologo, who has also received a call-up to the Bolivia national team, Lorient’s Nathaniel Adjei, Mohammed Diomande of Rangers, and Nordsjaelland’s Ibrahim Osman.
Tariq Lamptey, who has recently returned from a long-term injury, is also included in the squad after missing out on the AFCON in Cote d’Ivoire. Leicester City winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has also been selected in the provisional squad.
Ghana is scheduled to play against Nigeria on March 22 and Uganda four days later.
