Arsenal secured another commanding victory in the Premier League, comfortably defeating Newcastle 4-1 and moving within two points of the top of the table.
The Gunners, coming off impressive away wins against West Ham and Burnley, continued their fine form at the Emirates Stadium. A Sven Botman own goal, along with strikes from Kai Havertz, Bukayo Saka, and Jakub Kiwior, highlighted Arsenal’s attacking prowess.
Joe Willock’s late header for Newcastle was a mere consolation as Arsenal’s dominant performance was marred by conceding a goal.
The win, following a disappointing loss to Porto in the Champions League, propelled Arsenal closer to the summit of the Premier League, trailing leaders Liverpool by just two points and Manchester City by one.
Arsenal’s recent goal-scoring exploits, with 15 goals scored and only one conceded in their last three games, have also seen them boast the best goal difference in the league.

Arsenal took control early on, with Declan Rice testing Loris Karius in the Newcastle goal. A fortunate own goal from Tino Livramento, after Karius had saved Gabriel Magalhaes’ header, gave Arsenal the lead.
Newcastle struggled to create chances, failing to register a shot on target in the first half. Anthony Gordon and Alekander Isak had attempts for Newcastle, but it was Arsenal who extended their lead through Saka’s well-placed shot and Kiwior’s deflected header.
Willock’s late header provided a moment of joy for Newcastle, but Arsenal’s victory was never in doubt as they cruised to an impressive win.
