Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has returned to training ahead of the team’s UEFA Champions League match against FC Porto, marking a timely comeback.
Partey had been sidelined since October 2023 due to a hamstring injury. Although he had recovered earlier this year, he faced another setback before returning to full match fitness.
Despite being named in Ghana’s 55-man provisional squad for the 2023 AFCON in Cote d’Ivoire, Partey missed the tournament due to his injuries.
However, his return to training suggests that he is ready to make a significant contribution to Mikel Arteta’s team in both the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League.
Partey is yet to feature in any of Arsenal’s UEFA Champions League matches this season but could make his first appearance against FC Porto in the round of 16 first-leg encounter.
